ORLANDO, FL - NXPowerLite, the file optimization solution from British software company Neuxpower, now integrates seamlessly with IBM's Lotus Notes email client. NXPowerLite Desktop Edition 3.7, the latest version of the software, enables Lotus Notes users to automatically reduce the size of their email attachments, whilst keeping them in their original format.

Email-related storage is growing at a rate of 30% per year. A 2008 survey by Osterman Research found that 3/5 messaging decision makers consider storage growth to be the leading problem in managing email systems - worse than spam, malware and a host of other serious issues. Many organizations attempt to deal with this problem by imposing mailbox quotas and email size limits. However, this can lead to further issues such as loss of productivity and non-delivery of important business information. Microsoft Office files, the most commonly used email attachment types, were also found to be the most problematic - with PowerPoint presentations regularly exceeding email size limits in 59% of organizations and Excel spreadsheets regularly exceeding limits in 31% of organizations.

NXPowerLite reduces the size of Microsoft Office files by removing any excess baggage and converting embedded graphics to the most appropriate file format and resolution. Files remain in their original format and retain all their functionality, so they can be opened and edited by anybody with a copy of Microsoft Office. NXPowerLite can be configured to automatically optimize email attachments before they are sent, dramatically reducing storage and bandwidth requirements for both sender and recipient. The recipient requires no special viewers or plug-ins.
