NXPowerLite now certified for use on NMCI networks

16 September 2009

LONDON, UK – British software company Neuxpower today announced that NXPowerLite Desktop Edition has been certified for use on the Navy Marine Corps Intranet (NMCI) - the world's largest purpose-built IP network.

This means that the software can now be purchased for use on any US Navy or Marine Corps workstation or laptop.

US Navy: NXPowerLite Desktop Edition was certified through the US 2nd Fleet and has been deployed to NIPR and SIPR clients.

US Marine Corp: NXPowerLite Desktop Edition was certified through Marine Corps Tactical and Operations Group (MCTOG).

NXPowerLite Desktop Edition has been successfully trialled within Project Trident Warrior, a US-led Allied/Coalition and Joint Forces Navy software testing initiative for maritime interoperability.

"NXPowerLite can significantly reduce the size of Microsoft Office files before transmission and therefore frees up bandwidth over high latency, low bandwidth maritime network bearers."
