Drilling A Hole In Atlanta Oral's Storage Issues

Another day, another instance of NXPowerLite helping a business take control of their IT issues. I’m really excited to be able to bring you first hand evidence of our latest IT solution, NXPowerLite Watched Folders, in action.

Atlanta Oral & Facial Surgery have been providing speciality surgical services to the people of Atlanta, Georgia since 1980. They specialise in dental implants, surgical extractions and facial surgery and have 18 practices around Atlanta. Their IT Department services around 200 users, 350 computers and 50 document scanners across their surgeries all supported by three virtual servers at their central repository.

They were concerned with the amount of oversized documents being transported across their network and taking up valuable space in their storage repository. Dan Hubbell, Director of IT, wanted to proactively find a way to reduce the toll these files were taking on his network and storage.

He looked at a number of other compression utilities before settling on NXPowerLite Watched Folders. Having initially taken up a free trial of the software to test the files reduction capabilities and how the software would integrate with his system, Dan put NXPowerLite to work on one of his main data stores.
